A posy of flowers gathered from the garden was presented to Her Royal Highness by 11-year old Madeline Hewes, one of  a group of local schoolchildren from St. Andrew’s CE Primary School at Buckland Monachorum.  Following the extended cold winter, the spring garden was at its glorious best, and added to the pleasure of all visitors and supporters attending this special occasion.

This including grounds, sphere, design and planting scheme. And best of all, I got the feeling, true or not, I can achieve such an exquisite garden myself. Many other grand gardens are of great beauty but tend to have a bit of detachment which is entirely absent at The Garden House. Very inspiring!!!

Having gained over 25 years’ gardening experience, Nick says, “The Garden House has always inspired me with its fantastic plant collection, creative hard landscaping and naturalistic planting style. I am still getting to know the garden and wish to discover what it is that our visitors take from it.
