The tearooms are situated in the 18th century vicarage, and afford wonderful views onto a wisteria-clad terrace and onwards to the lawns and borders.
We pride ourselves on locally sourced and freshly prepared food served at your table, and have no doubt that our extensive menu will tempt you at whatever time of day you choose to visit.
The tearoom is renowned for its range of very special home-made cakes. Besides the traditional Garden House Cream Tea (two scones with strawberry preserve and clotted cream), current favourites cakes appear to be Devon apple, lemon drizzle as well as coffee and pistachio – to name just a few. Items from the Tea Menu are served throughout the day.
Lunch is served from 12 noon until 2.30 pm and provides a wide choice of both hot and cold meals ranging from freshly prepared sandwiches, hearty soups to Garden House favourites such as Homity Pie and Celebration Chicken. All hot meals are listed daily on the tearoom blackboard.
Most of our meals can be served at half price for children and, of course, the Langage Farm ice-creams are always available.
We are always pleased to cater for special dietary needs if prior notice is given.
The tearoom staff look forward to welcoming you.
