In the starry sky - supper and stars

Jo Richardson joins us to host a fascinating evening of star talk and star gazing. Jo is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and one of the 9 ESERO-UK
(European Space Education Office) Space Ambassadors working on high profile
national space projects such as those surrounding Tim Peake and Mission X.t She can shine a light on what life is like on the International Space Station...

She will take you on a voyage of discovery through the night sky.  Learn about the myths
and legends of star stories; and investigate our nearest star, the Sun. By making
comparisons with other stars in the galaxy, she will share the latest scientific
developments in astronomy and science relating to the discovery of exoplanetary
systems. This is followed by telescopic observations (weather permitting) of the night
sky led by the astronomy team.

This event will take place regardless of the weather. If weather doesn't  permit stargazing there will be a photographic display by Jo's husband, Pete Richardson, an award winning astrophotographer.
