Job description

We are looking for an individual who has a passion for exceptional customer service, exceeding expectations at every opportunity and a great team player. Experience in catering and front of house duties would be an advantage, but full training will be given. There will be weekend working.
Key responsibilities:

  • Covering the kitchen alternative weekends and occasional team members during annual leave.
  • Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean, hygienic and compliance
  • Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
  • Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
  • Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and helping to prepare, cook and present meals
  • Assist cook service
  • Maintain high standards food hygiene and health & safety compliance
  • Disposing of rubbish
  • Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
  • Assist front of house when required. Front of House Duties to include serving food and drinks, clearing tables and operating the dishwasher.
  • Key skills:
  • A great team player
  • Experience in catering or as part of a cafe team is an advantage but not essential

The post will be varied and can be anything from 14 – 28 hours (2 to 4 days) a week, including Bank holidays. Contract will be seasonal ending on 3rd November, but may become permanent for the right candidate.
