Sculpture exhibition launches

The Garden House is holding a very special Christmas art exhibition with acclaimed sculptor, Charlotte Marlow.

The exhibition, which runs from Nov 23-Dec 23, features a stunning range of nude and nature inspired bronze figurines. The sculptures have been created by the Tavistock-based husband and wife team, Charlotte and Richard Marlow, who specialise in sculpting, mould-making and casting their own new pieces which they produce mainly in bronze resin.

The exhibition, situated in The Garden House itself, gives visitors an opportunity to explore the grand Georgian house, originally home of the Fortescue family, tucked away in a unique pocket of Dartmoor, and its exceptional gardens.

“We are delighted to host this unique and special exhibition,” said Donna Wadham, General Manager of The Garden House, “being able to display such exceptional work from local artists is something we want our visitors to enjoy as part of the overall experience of a visit to The Garden House. We also hope visitors may find that special gift for Christmas while they are here.”

The Garden House is open throughout winter this year for the first time, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11am-3pm, offering winter roasts and cream teas, a unique selection of Christmas gifts as well as a chance to explore the beauty of the gardens in winter.
